PLEASE NOTE This session has sold out. Join us at The Keep for a rare screening of a documentary featuring artist and designer Peggy Angus (1904-1993). Filmed by the University of Brighton in 1988 and held by Screen Archive South East, this fascinating documentary captures Peggy Angus in conversation about her work, with footage from her Camden studio and East Sussex home, Furlongs.
The screenings form part of a wider project led by Dr Nicola Miles to enhance the catalogue of the Peggy Angus archive at The Keep, helping to improve access to this nationally significant collection. The current phase of the project is supported by a Visiting Research Fellowship hosted by the University of Brighton Design Archives and the Centre for Design History.
The events will begin with a short introduction, followed by the film (approx.45 mins). The screening on September 16 includes a Q&A and the chance to view original archive material. It’s free to attend but spaces are limited so please register in advance via The Keep website.
